The predictions for this year’s Christmas toy sales are already in by toy giant Hamleys and it certainly seems there a are a few in there that I am agreeable with. So without further ado, here are the predictions for Christmas 2010.
Buzz Lightyear
this one was always going to be huge and it is thanks to the movie coming out this year, it is one for the entire family to enjoy and I am sure there are not going to be many kids out there without a Buzz by the end of this year. Pixar are doing a great job with the merchandising of this franchise and they are going to sell not only Buzz but the rest of the cast in their thousands when it comes to Christmas this year. Pixar’s latest movie is likely to be one of the biggest earners in history if you are including the sale of toys. I am really hoping they can take on Avatar with this because I love all of Pixar’s amazing movies.
Stinky The Garbage Truck
This is a transformer type lorry that can eat cars, tell jokes and even sings. This toy has been described as a young boy’s greatest friend and it will cost a whopping 80 pounds when it hits UK stores. Is this actually a lot of money for a bit of plastic that talks, perhaps it is just me.
Other Entries
Ben 10 is unsurprisingly top of the list again when it comes to predications along with Zhu Zhu pets which were popular last year and a kid’s video camera making it into the fray too. Other than this I can see traditional toys like train sets along with Scalextric and the odd RC helicopterbeing sold too.

Okay so going on one of those Mexico holidays might not be the cheapest of ways to help children to learn but holidaysare arguably the best way of doing things because you get to see the culture yourself. It is important to note the kids will really enjoy this.
Books
The cheapest option by far is of course to buy a few books and to sit down with your child and teach them this way. It does the job well even if it is original.
